Ok I am sick I have eaten something and now I am sick! I did though manage to go shopping and walk around downtown Singapore and see Raffles. I couldn't part with $28 Singapore dollars to buy "an original Singapore Sling".
The site visit went well and everyone is lovely at all the sites although the level of English is questionable. My own use of my mother tongue has deteriorated rapidly. I now talk without personal pronouns and smile when I don't understand. For example asking the EHS manager do they have fire safety systems in place. I repeat the question in Singlish:
"Here, have fire alarm, smoke, what done when there is sound of fire alarm la."
He understood perfectly what I was saying! When I think that I actually taught English as a Foreign Language tut tuu....
